Brian Hoyer overcomes interception on first play of the game in Week 3.
Things couldn’t have started off much worse for Hoyer in the Thursday Night Football game against the Rams, as he threw an ill-advised pass on an out route that was blanketed and intercepted, which led to a Rams score on the next play. After that, Hoyer was locked in, throwing precise passes all over the field, particularly on short-intermediate passes that were right on the money. For the game, Hoyer was 23/27 for 332 yards, two touchdown, one interception and a nine-yard rushing touchdown. Hoyer and the 49ers face Arizona in Week 4, so it’d probably be a surprise if he was able to put up these kind of numbers in that game.

Robert Woods goes over 100 yards in Week 3 win.
Woods worked in tandem with teammate Sammy Watkins as they both caught six of seven targets for over 100 yards. Woods’ stat line against the 49ers was six receptions for 108 yards, with a long of 31 yards. He made some great catches for his quarterback Jared Goff, while he took some big hits from the Niners but bounced right back up. The 25-year-old receiver gets the Cowboys next week.

Jared Goff lights up the 49ers to help the Rams improve to 2-1.
Last year’s number one overall pick continues to prove people that called him a bust wrong, as he played lights out in the Thursday night win, going 22/28 for 292 yards and three touchdowns. Goff threw accurate passes to all parts of the field—short, intermediate, and deep—and helped lead the Rams to 41 points in a high-scoring contest. The first touchdown came to Todd Gurley in the flat, the second came on a slant to Sammy Watkins at the goal line, and the third came on a pass over the middle to Watkins where the receiver put his foot in the ground to break a couple of tackles and score. Sean McVay and the new offense have very clearly been great for Goff, who looks like someone that was selected with the first pick in the draft last year. Goff and the Rams will look to keep it going in Week 4 against the Cowboys.

Carlos Hyde scores twice in 49ers’ Thursday night loss toe the Rams.
Hyde briefly left the game in the first quarter with a hip injury, but he returned to start the second quarter and worked as a big-time workhorse, carrying 25 times for 84 yards and two touchdowns while adding three receptions for ten yards. Hyde showed his great toughness, picking up extra yardage and rarely going down on first contact. Both touchdowns came at the goal line (with one coming on a fourth-and-goal), with Hyde powering through the line of scrimmage. Hyde gets a difficult matchup with the Cardinals in Week 4, but he’s still obviously a great option and needs to be in your fantasy lineup every week.
9/21/17 - 11:58 PM ET
Todd Gurley goes off in Rams’ Week 3 win.
Gurley made a ton of fantasy owners happy as they get their early weekends off to a great start, as he carried 28 times for 113 yards and two touchdowns on the ground while adding five receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown through the air. The night couldn’t have started off much better, as a near-pick-six on the first play for the 49ers led to a touchdown for Todd Gurley on the Rams’ first play near the goal line. This was Gurley’s first 100-yard rushing game since the end of his rookie season in 2015, and he’ll likely have a good amount of them this season. Gurley is an obvious great RB1 next week against Dallas as a three-down workhorse.

Sammy Watkins leaves Thursday night game to get evaluated for a concussion.
Watkins took a hard hit on his second touchdown of the night and appeared to be fine, but he headed to the medical tent and then the locker room. His night is almost certainly over. Watkins had six receptions for 106 yards and two touchdowns in an excellent performance that showed off his elite skills. It took a little bit for Watkins to get going in the game, but he started putting on a show when they started going to him. On his long of 47 yards, Watkins had a great last-second adjustment to catch it over his shoulder with a Willie Mays-esque catch. His first touchdown was on a slant route from the one-yard line, and his second touchdown came on a pass over the middle that Watkins immediately took up the field and broke through a couple tackles as he stretched the ball across the goal line. Watkins will be a great option once again in Week 4 against the Cowboys, assuming he’s healthy after his possible concussion.

Kyle Juszczyk (neck) ruled out during Week 3 game against the Rams.
The fullback/offensive weapon was injured on the final play of a touchdown drive that was capped by a one-yard touchdown by Carlos Hyde. Jusczczyk had a 34-yard reception on his only target before leaving the game.
