QB: Taysom Hill

Deshaun Watson and Justin Herbert outscored Hill this week, but in his first career start, the versatile quarterback was excellent—completing 18-of-23 passes for 233 yards with ten carries for 51 yards and two scores on the ground. The rushing potential will make Hill a no-doubt QB1 for as long as Drew Brees (ribs) remains out.

 

RB: Dalvin Cook

Another week, another overall RB1 finish for Cook, who totaled 160 yards and a touchdown on 32 touches. Through nine games, the 25-year-old has rushed for 1,069 yards with 13 total touchdowns as the offensive centerpiece in Minnesota.

 

RB: Clyde Edwards-Helaire

After single-digit touches in three consecutive games prior to the bye, Kansas City made it a point to get Edwards-Helaire the ball on Sunday night—resulting in 77 total yards and two touchdowns on 15 touches. We’ll see if the team can get him more involved as a receiver down the stretch.

 

WR: Adam Thielen

Thielen followed up a two-score performance last Monday night with another in his best game of the season (8/123/2), and he already has a career-high 11 touchdowns this year. Dallas simply had no answers for him on Sunday for an offense that’s really been centered on the stars in 2020.

 

WR: Keenan Allen

Allen is another player that the opponent couldn’t stop yesterday, and he had season-highs across the board in terms of targets (19), receptions (16), and yards (145). The combination of Allen’s ability as a route runner and Justin Herbert’s velocity on short/intermediate routes is scary.

 

TE: Travis Kelce

Finally, tight end came alive some in Week 11—particularly with the top three at the position (Kelce, Darren Waller, and Mark Andrews) all finishing as such heading into Monday night. Of course, Kelce hasn’t been a part of the overall struggles, and he’s now gone for at least eight receptions and 100+ yards in all three games this month.

 

FLEX: Derrick Henry

There were plenty of options to consider here, but Henry gets the nod with another heroic effort against Baltimore—rushing 28 times for 133 yards, including the game-winning, 29-yard score in overtime. The monster runner is on pace for 1,726 yards and 14 touchdowns this year (and we haven’t even gotten to December).

 

D/ST: Browns

Not having Myles Garrett (COVID-19 list) didn’t even matter for Cleveland, and they got to Carson Wentz five times and forced two interceptions (including a pick-six) in a rainy game to improve to 7-3.

 

K: Rodrigo Blankenship

Blankenship came up short on a 50-yard field goal early in the game yesterday, but he rebounded to hit all four of his attempts after halftime—with the final one being a 39-yarder to win in overtime. The 14 fantasy points leads all kickers heading into tonight’s action.

 

Surprise of the Week: Jonathan Taylor

We remained optimistic about Taylor because of the talent, but most thought he was borderline droppable in redraft leagues, and he responded with his best game of the year to help power Indy to a 34-31 victory. There will be quieter outings in the future based on how the Colts rotate their runners from week-to-week, but the schedule looks very favorable for the rookie.

 

Disappointment of the Week: Falcons offense

Atlanta seemed set up for a great performance coming out of the bye, but Julio Jones (hamstring) going down and the offensive line being unable to keep Matt Ryan clean (eight sacks allowed) ruined the day. Other than Calvin Ridley (5/90), all of Ryan (5.2), Todd Gurley (3.4). Julio (4.9), and Hayden Hurst (0.0) struggled.

 

Rookie of the Week: Justin Herbert

Now the overwhelming favorite for NFL Rookie of the Year with Joe Burrow (knee) unfortunately done, Herbert threw for a season-high 366 yards in his second win of the season, and he has more games with at least three touchdown passes (five) than he does games with less than three scores (four). Next week against the Bills should be a fun battle.

 

Week 11 MVP: Taysom Hill

Again, Hill wasn’t the highest-scoring quarterback on Sunday, but he was basically a cheat code in ESPN leagues with tight end eligibility, and anyone streaming him at his actual position had to be thrilled with the 24.4 fantasy points. He should be rostered as a quarterback in all leagues.
