Strengths

Great size in terms of height and build. Strong and physical both as a route runner and with the ball in his hands. Very good speed for his size. Excellent feet. Can quickly throttle down routes. Sudden on outs and curls/hitches. Big target on intermediate routes. Reliable on contested catches. Very effective sitting down and working back to the ball. Has experience playing out wide or in the slot. Knows how to stacks cornerbacks and get vertical. Tracks the ball extremely well over his shoulder. Will get up to win 50-50 balls. Good acceleration in the open field. Tough as a runner. Falls forward when tackled and doesn’t dance. Good run blocker. Produced with multiple quarterbacks under center. NFL bloodlines. Team captain at USC.

Weaknesses

Natural receiving skills seem just OK. Overall athleticism is average for the next level. Wasn’t asked to create separation against tight man coverage.

Conclusion

Overall, Pittman Jr. projects best as a big slot that can use his size to work the middle of the field on intermediate routes. The quality of receivers in the draft class makes him more of a third-round prospect for me, but Pittman should be a very good No. 2 or No. 3 target for several years at the next level.
