Strengths

Strong and stout overall frame. Elite athleticism with natural movement skills. Plus awareness and field vision. Patient overall player. Base is wide and balanced. Quick off the ball. Very effective on down blocks. Extremely strong hands. Quick to engage at the point of attack and will drive defenders back. Above-average power as a run blocker. Tremendous mobility in space. Great acceleration to get to blocks on the perimeter. Impressive ability to shield defenders off with body positioning and movement skills. Patient hitting his marks in the screen game. Soft feet as a pass protector. Very strong anchor against power. Active hands helps make up for issues with length in pass protection. High potential as a guard based on his skillset.

 

Weaknesses

Below-average length for an offensive tackle. Has trouble with defenders flashing inside. Can miss when trying to engage defenders at the second level. Issues with length showed up on a couple of reps versus top edge Payton Turner (Houston 2020).

Conclusion

Overall, Christensen is an athletic and strong offensive lineman that should be able to hold up at left tackle based on how well he showed there at BYU. The complete skillset and potential position versatility should get Christensen drafted on Day 2.
