Strengths

Solid overall size/build. Tremendous versatility to play H-back, tight end, fullback, and slot. Elite all-around blocker. Hits his target with ferocious force. Quickly drives his target off the spot. Ideal hand placement and stays engaged. Punishing lead blocker with a head of steam. Excelled on cross blocks as a puller. Drives to the sideline to create a running lane on the edge. Can bury opponents with a clean shot. Has no hesitation taking on bigger players. Smooth on-the-ground target. Above-average speed and acceleration. Good catching the ball on the move. Shows physicality in contested coverage. Effective setting up defenders up with a fake block before running a route on play-action passes. Gets his feet down on the boundary. Great teammate. Always looking to help guys up.

Weaknesses

Always a complementary option rather than “the guy” at tight end for Notre Dame. Limited route runner in and out of breaks. Has too many double catches. Didn’t show much in terms of sitting in holes underneath and presenting a target for his quarterback (wasn’t his role).

Conclusion

Overall, Tremble was arguably as good at his defined role as any prospect in the 2021 class, and he will bring plenty of versatility to an NFL offense. There is enough athletic upside to feel good about Tremble turning into a three-level target to support his ability as a blocker.
