Strengths

Elite vertical threat on the outside. Consistently found a way behind the defense for big plays. Quality build/size with long arms. Excellent on double moves. Sets defenders up to accelerate and separate on deep routes. Sells leverage to get opponents on their heels. Terrific tracking downfield passes. Kicks into another gear to get to the spot. Great release technique/footwork with ideal patience. Crisp on short routes. Good feel for coverage on in-breaking routes underneath. Whips around on quick outs and slants. Smooth turning into a runner on short catches. Plus on-the-ground body control and balance. Good hands when extending for passes thrown ahead of him. Effective high pointing to make a grab. Gets his feet down along the boundary. Impressive strength for his play style. Great chemistry with quarterback Sam Howell on the deep ball.

Weaknesses

Lacks the top-tier speed usually associated with NFL deep threats. Average twitch/explosiveness. Will drop some passes. Limited route tree at North Carolina. Redirected too easily by contact. Concerns about creating sudden and consistent separation on non-vertical routes. Vast majority of snaps came at the same spot (left side). Has work to do as a blocker.

Conclusion

Overall, Brown is a big-play threat that knows how to get open on vertical routes and can also do some damage on underneath targets. While a somewhat tricky evaluation because he lacks top-tier speed/explosiveness, Brown has proven himself as a very productive and effective downfield option.
