Strengths

A+ football character and leadership. Top-tier toughness. Suited up and took “victory” formation snaps on a torn ACL to end career. Massive size for a center. Extremely powerful with thick overall frame. Has the raw strength to maul smaller defenders. Powerful hands that blow defenders back when he strikes. Can make an important block with just a glancing blow. Plays with desired nastiness. Sets the tone with chippy play but doesn’t go over the line. Wins inside with positioning to seal/turn defenders. Outstanding ability/feel working from block to block. Good mobility and balance. Plus acceleration as a puller. Exceptional timing working to the second level. Effective as a lead blocker in space. High intelligence and awareness in pass protection. Ideal patience. Keeps hands in position to strike. Too strong to beat with power. Brings position versatility with experience at guard.

Weaknesses

Extreme concerns about durability. Suffered a season-ending injury in four of five years. Average length considering his overall size. Will overextend and get too top heavy at times. Could be better moving feet to square guys up in space. Would like to see more consistent engage-and-drive rather than pushing/striking.

Conclusion

Overall, Dickerson is a tough, tone-setting interior offensive lineman that any team would be fortunate to have up front. The injury concerns could push him down some, but Dickerson is worth considering in the first round because of the intangibles and experience.
