Strengths

Prototype overall size for the interior. Above-average length. Hands are big and strong. Tremendous raw power. Road grader in the running game. Buries guys when he gets them to the ground. Ideal play demeanor. Tries driving guys into oblivion. Able to generate movement at the point of attack. Simply dominated smaller opponents. Always looking for someone to hit. Great athleticism and mobility. Quick reaching second-level blocks. Excellent awareness and field vision. Natural foot movement and plus reaction time. Keeps a wide and stable pass in pass protection. Stays in front of rushers and showed good ability to adjust with increased reps. Played guard in college and offers position versatility. Standout player at the Senior Bowl and showed clear improvement. Great personality and extremely high work ethic. A+ toughness (practiced with a broken hand at the Senior Bowl and unsuccessfully pushed Brian Flores to allow him to play in the game).

Weaknesses

Needs to clean up overall technique. Plays a bit too out of control. Has some issues with balance. Forward-leaning in pass protection. Likely needs to cut down on lunging/launching versus more athletic opponents. Untested versus top competition in game action.

Conclusion

Overall, Meinerz is a strong, athletic, and versatile offensive lineman with the mentality/character to boost any group he becomes a part of. Considering the way he attacked 2020 to significantly improve his NFL prospects despite not having a college football season, teams should have little to no hesitation about spending an early Day 2 pick on Meinerz.
