Boston Scott | Eagles RB

Boston Scott has signed his exclusive tender.

Scott will be back in Philadelphia this season, and he could have a quality role if Nick Sirianni goes with a backfield committee similar to what was used in Indianapolis. The Eagles not selecting a power complement to Miles Sanders in next month's draft would really boost Scott's outlook as a late-round flier in redraft leagues.

Boston Scott | Eagles RB

Boston Scott scores three times in playoff-clinching win over the Giants.

Philadelphia's offensive centerpiece with Miles Sanders (ankle) leaving the game and Jordan Howard (shoulder) not receiving a touch, Scott rushed 19 times for 54 yards and three touchdowns, also adding four receptions for a team-high 84 receiving yards. New York gave the Eagles a fight through three quarters, but Scott took over late with a pair of two-yard touchdowns in a 34-17 victory. Sanders being ruled out on Sunday leaves him highly questionable for the Wild Card Round, so Scott may end up again leading the way with Jordan Howard likely complementing him against Seattle.

Boston Scott | Eagles RB

Boston Scott has been promoted to the active roster.

Scott will immediately slide in as Philly's No. 3 back behind Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders with Darren Sproles (quad) out, and he may see snaps in the passing game as well as in the return game. That said, Scott isn't a recommended fantasy option right now.

Boston Scott | Eagles RB

The Eagles officially signed running back Boston Scott.

He's being signed off New Orleans' practice squad. This move was rumored to be happening, and now it's official with Corey Clement (knee) heading to injured reserve. Scott is a rookie sixth-round pick of the Saints and is a shorter (five-foot-seven) dynamic type that could have a role on the Eagles the final three games of the season. He's not a recommended fantasy pickup, though.

Boston Scott | Eagles RB

The Saints have selected Louisiana Tech running back Boston Scott with the 201st pick (sixth round) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Scott is a relative unknown, but Sean Payton clearly has something in mind for him. The five-foot-seven back is extremely elusive and ran a 4.40 at his Pro Day, so perhaps the Saints envision him as security for Alvin Kamara. We know Payton isn't afraid to play multiple running backs, so an early role for Scott can't be discounted. That said, Kamara and Mark Ingram definitely aren't leaving the field too often, so Scott is just a name to keep an eye on in dynasty leagues.
