Denzel Mims | Jets WR

Denzel Mims has returned to the Jets.

Head coach Adam Gase says Mims is back after dealing with a personal issue, so it’s good to hear he’s back with the team. Mims missed just one game.

Denzel Mims | Jets WR

Denzel Mims (personal) won't play in Week 14.

Mims left practice yesterday to deal with a family emergency in Texas, so he won't be able to clear COVID-19 protocol to return by Sunday. The rookie wideout had been emerging since making his debut, and hopefully the Jets can get him back next week. Look for Jeff Smith and Braxton Berrios to see more snaps against Seattle this weekend.

Denzel Mims might not play in Week 14.

Jets head coach Adam Gase says that Mims will not practice today as he deals with a personal issue, adding that the rookie receiver might not play this Sunday against the Seahawks. We hope everything is OK with Mims and his family.

Denzel Mims (hamstring) was activated from injured reserve.

This indicates that Mims will make his NFL debut tomorrow against the Bills. The second-round rookie dealt with multiple hamstring issues this summer and early fall, but he's an intriguing talent to keep an eye on in deeper leagues in particular.

Denzel Mims | Jets WR

The Jets designated Denzel Mims (hamstring) for return off injured reserve.

Mims now has 21 days in which he can practice, and after the three-week mark he must either be activated off injured reserve or spend the rest of the season on IR. The rookie receiver can now be added back to the 53-man roster at any time within the next 21 days.

The Jets placed Denzel Mims (hamstring) on injured reserve.

After missing Week 1 with another hamstring injury to his other leg, Mims will now miss at least the next three games while on IR. The second0round rookie receiver only needs to be held in dynasty leagues.

Denzel Mims | Jets WR

The Jets officially ruled out Denzel Mims (hamstring) for Week 1.

Mims is now dealing with an injury to his other hamstring, so unfortunately his NFL career is not off to an ideal start. Consider Mims week-to-week for now.

Denzel Mims | Jets WR

Denzel Mims is out of practice with a hamstring injury.

The Jets are counting on Mims to have a role this year after drafting him in the second round, but missed time in camp during a shortened offseason will likely hurt his chance at early playing time. Mims has the talent to make an impact, though, so he's still an option as a late-round flier for those with patience or in deeper leagues.

Denzel Mims | Jets WR

The Jets have selected Baylor wide receiver Denzel Mims with the No. 59 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Mims was thought to be a potential top-20 pick, so this is a great value for the Jets at the end of the second round. Overall, Mims has the talent to be a dominant perimeter threat with superb natural receiving skills, elite athleticism, and prototype size; we’ll see if he can outperform him draft slot similar to A.J. Brown and D.K. Metcalf last year. Sam Darnold gaining trust for Mims would be big for his fantasy outlook as a rookie. You can read our full scouting report on the Baylor product in the link below.
