Jace Sternberger | Packers TE

Jace Sternberger has been suspended two games for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

Sternberger will miss games against the Saints and Lions to begin the year, and this could ding his overall outlook as he hopes to carve out a role behind Robert Tonyan. Obviously, the entire offense of the Packers will be heavily reliant on whether or not Aaron Rodgers will be under center this fall.

Jace Sternberger | Packers TE

Jace Sternberger (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of today.

Sternberger went to the locker room after getting kicked in the head in the first half, and his day is now done. Hopefully Sternberger is feeling better soon, but he needs to clear concussion protocol before he can get back on the field for Green Bay down the stretch.

Jace Sternberger | Packers TE

Jace Sternberger has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list.

This is good timing for Sternberger as teams begin practicing in full pads. The second-year tight end is looking to win the starting gig in Green Bay's offense, but he'll open the year as just a TE2 option for fantasy purposes.

The Packers placed Jace Sternberger on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Sternberger is yet another player that has either tested positive for the coronavirus or has come in close contact with someone that has the virus. Sternberger is entering a big training camp in his second NFL season as he looks to claim a big role as the No. 1 tight end for the Packers. Hopefully he can get cleared soon.

The Packers activated Jace Sternberger (ankle) from inured reserve.

Sternberger started practicing with Green Bay on October 16, so he's apparently worked himself into a position to suit up tomorrow against the Chargers. The rookie tight end is not a highly recommended pickup in redraft leagues.

Jace Sternberger (ankle) is practicing for the Packers.

This activates the 21-day window for Sternberger to be activated to the active roster; otherwise, he will spend the entire season on injured reserve. The rookie tight end can practice in the next three weeks and might eventually carve out a role this season, but he's not a recommended fantasy pickup in redraft leagues.

Jace Sternberger | Packers TE

The Packers placed Jace Sternberger on injured reserve.

Sternberger is dealing with an ankle issue, but it's surprising he's been placed on IR. The third-round rookie tight end can come back from injured reserve in eight weeks as a designated-to-return player, but he's off the redraft radar for now. This could be a slight boost for Jimmy Graham's value.

Jace Sternberger | Packers TE

The Packers have selected Texas A&M tight end Jace Sternberger with the No.75  pick (third round) in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Sternberger started his college career at Kansas, but he barely played as a redshirt freshman and then transferred to Oklahoma A&M before then moving back to Division I and Texas A&M. In one season with the Aggies, Sternberger caught 48 passes for 832 yards and ten touchdowns, being named an All-American after the great production. Sternberger has the potential to develop into a solid No. 1 tight end for the Packers, but he’s not on the redraft radar for 2019 as things stand today.
