Jaydon Mickens | Buccaneers WR

The Buccaneers are waiving Jaydon Mickens, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Mickens has contributed as a receiver and returner this year, but the team is obviously very deep at receiver, and Antonio Brown's increased usage in the return game has the franchise able to use a roster spot elsewhere. We'll see if he's claimed, but Mickens isn't currently on the redraft radar.

The Buccaneers re-signed Jaydon Mickens.

Mickens was waived just over a week ago, but the Bucs are brining him back to compete for a spot at receiver and on special teams. Mickens' biggest contributions for Tampa Bay would likely come as a returner this season.

The Buccaneers waived Jaydon Mickens.

Some NFL teams are trimming their camp rosters to make COVID easier to contain, and that could be the case here. Mickens has plus return ability, so hopefully he’s able to find a new landing spot soon.

Jaydon Mickens | Buccaneers WR

Jaydon Mickens was promoted to the Buccaneers active roster.

Mickens could get a nice opportunity on both special teams as a returner and on offense in a banged up receiving corps. Mickens is not a recommended fantasy pickup for Week 17.

The Jaguars are not tendering an offer to Jaydon Mickens, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Mickens was an exclusive rights free agent, but now he'll become available for all 32 teams to sign at the start of the new league year. The 2016 undrafted free agent can chip in on offense, but he'll likely earn a role with a team as a special-teamer, particularly as a returner.

Jaydon Mickens | Buccaneers WR

Jaydon Mickens suffered a fractured ankle, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Mickens is out four-to-six weeks, according to Rapoport. He's a candidate for injured reserve with a chance to return after eight weeks, but we'll see what the Jaguars decide to do.

UPDATE: Jaydon Mickens (ankle) is out for the rest of today's game.

Jacksonville takes a big hit on special teams with Mickens out, but hopefully he doesn't miss more than the rest of this game. More information on the extent of the injury shoulder become available in the next day or so.

Jaydon Mickens | Buccaneers WR

Jaydon Mickens (ankle) is questionable to return to today's game.

Mickens was helped to the bench, and we'll see if he can get back in the game. The Jaguars could especially use Mickens on special teams as they attempt to stage a comeback against the Cowboys.

Jaydon Mickens catches one pass in Week 16.

After his breakout two-touchdown performance last week, Mickens had only a five-yard reception against the Jaguars. It was risky to trust him in fantasy lineups, though, so hopefully you didn't. He's just a dynasty-league option for now.

Jaydon Mickens | Buccaneers WR

Jaydon Mickens scores twice in Jaguars' win.

After Marqise Lee went down with an ankle injury early against the Texans, Mickens stepped up into a bigger offensive role for the Jaguars and took advantage of his opportunity. Mickens had four receptions (on five targets) for 61 yards and two touchdowns, with both scores coming in the red zone. He also had a 41-yard reception on a deep ball form Blake Bortles. Mickens has been contributing as a returner for the Jaguars, but it's awesome to see him catch his first passes on offense. Mickens, an undrafted player in 2016, actually lived in his car for some time, and he's a great motivational story for anyone. With Lee set to miss some time, Mickens is worth a look in deeper leagues.

Jaydon Mickens | Buccaneers WR

Jaydon Mickens catches one pass in Week 10.

It was the 2016 undrafted receiver's first reception in the NFL, and it went for 11 yards on an important play late in the game. Mickens contributes as a punt returner and will mix in on offense, especially if Allen Hurns (leg) misses any time, but he's not a recommended fantasy option.
