Mecole Hardman | Chiefs WR

Mecole Hardman has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Hardman will have a bigger role with Sammy Watkins (calf/hamstring) still out, and he’s a high-upside FLEX option for a potential shootout on Sunday night.

Mecole Hardman | Chiefs WR

The Chiefs have placed Mecole Hardman on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Kansas City is on its bye week, so hopefully Hardman can get cleared before they return to action in Week 11. You can potentially take advantage and place Hardman on an IR spot in your league if available.

Mecole Hardman | Chiefs WR

Mecole Hardman scores first career touchdown in Week 2.

Hardman caught four passes for 61 yards and a touchdown, with the score coming on a 42-yard deep ball where the blazing second-rounder got behind the Raiders defense. Patrick Mahomes appeared to be frustrated with Hardman's route on one occasion, but overall it was as strong performance as Kansas City looks to keep the offense rolling without Tyreek Hill. Hardman is one of the fastest players in the league and can take it to the house whenever he touches it, so he's not a bad FLEX option playing for an elite offense.

Mecole Hardman | Chiefs WR

The Chiefs have selected Georgia wide receiver Mecole Hardman with the No. 56 pick (second round) in the 2019 NFL Draft.

This is a definite indication that troubled wide receiver Tyreek Hill could be on his way out of Kansas City. One of the fastest receivers in this year’s class (4.33 40-yard dash), Hardman could be an immediate replacement for Hill, and it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see him become a serious fantasy factor as a rookie with tremendous weekly upside while catching passes from reigning league MVP Patrick Mahomes. To start his career, Hardman will probably be one of the top desperation plays (i.e. those looking for the highest of weekly point totals) for redraft owners, and dynasty owners will get plenty of upside targeting him rookie drafts.
